New Challenge Family Centre

On Monday Daniel attended the opening of the new Challenge Family Centre in West Melbourne. This new care facility will provide children with cancer and their families much-needed support.

The facility will make a real difference to hundreds of Victorian children and their families touched by cancer.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, it’s not just the patient but the parents and siblings who suffer. It’s essential that families don’t feel like they are alone in this journey.

Challenge Family Centre is about giving children and their families a place to access non-medical services and support under one roof.

Families will be able to take part in educational sessions, counselling and activities such as art and music therapy.

The centre will provide support from the time a child is diagnosed until after they have finished treatment.
